Priyanka Chopra in a Bikini Is a Seductress

Born to parents who were doctors in the army, the girl initially wanted to pursue engineering or psychiatry as a profession. The actress, who faced racial issues and sarcasm for her gawky looks during her stay with her aunt in Massachusetts, later came second at the Femina Miss India Contest, 2000. The actress who was crowned the Femina Miss India World at the Miss India pageant, 2000 was titled Miss World 2000 and also Miss World Continental Queen of Beauty- Asia & Oceania.

Like the other beauty queens Priyanka Chopra received a number of offers as she was looking forward to a career in the film industry. When she made her first appearance in the Tamil movie, Thamizan in 2002, the critics completely disapproved of her, some stating that she lacked the depth required to be an actress. Nevertheless Chopra made a debut in Bollywood in Anil Sharma’s The Hero along with Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta which became a huge commercial success followed by Raj Kanwar’s Andaz sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar and another beauty pageant debutante, Lara Dutta. The film was successful at the box office and Priyanka Chopra won a Filmfare Award in the ‘best debut actress’ category jointly with her co actor from the movie, Lara Dutta. In those days, the actress’ acting abilities had not been acknowledged and she was casted more as a quotient of beauty and charm in movies like Plan, Kismat, Asambhav and in David Dhawan’s Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, the last being very successful commercially. But that was until Aitraaz came along her way where Chopra played the role of an antagonist. The film was a box office success and her performance was appreciated critically, earning her a Filmfare award in the category of ‘Best performance in a negative role’. She became the second female actor after Kajol and the last to win the title as the category discontinued to be one at the Filmfare from the next year. The actress then featured in movies which came forth as a failure or as a moderate success at the box office like Blackmail, Karam, Yakeen, Vipul Shah’s Waqt: The Race against Time, Suneel Darshan’s Barsaat and Rohan Sippy’s Bluffmaster! However Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish and Farhan Akhtar’s Don were major successes at the box office. After a series of unsuccessful ventures, Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion came along. Her hard work for the role payed off and she won numerous awards including the National Film Award. Following the grand success, Chopra was again seen in a number of flops but lately she has been riding the ladder of success, considering that her last film Barfi was chosen to be an entry to the 85^th Academy Awards. Priyanka’s portrayal of Jhilmil, affected by autism, was in a word flawless.

True to her profession and unlike many other leading ladies in the industry, she has never shied away to sport the two piece. With her toned body, the bikini on Priyanka looks even hotter. Katrina Kaif- Whether or Not to Don a Bikini

The actress, Katrina Kaif who is still a British citizen and is working in the country under the employment visa, holds a dominant position in the industry today. The actress who was pursuing engineering studies initially had started her career as a model at the tender age of fourteen and is heard to have shifted her base to Mumbai in search of a career which she surely has found by now.

The actress has delivered numerous blockbusters over the years and is known for her skilful performances in movies like Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger and New York, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Zoya Akhtar’s multi starrer Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Prakash Jha’s Rajneeti, Rajkumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani, Subhash Ghai’s Yuvvraaj, Anees Bazmi’s Singh is Kinng and many more. She also featured in the famous item number of Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan, Sheila ki jawani. The actress has been lucky to star in the last directorial venture of the veteran Yash Chopra, Jab Tak Hai Jaan and is all set to be seen in Dhoom 3, the sequel to its 2007 counterpart and Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang along with Hrithik Roshan.
 

The actress with the very many blockbusters and endorsements in her kitty has overcome her poor grasp over the Hindi language and is everywhere but I suppose her debut movie continues to haunt her. She was still modelling in London when filmmaker Kaizad Gustad who is also based in London noticed her and offered her a role in his movie Boom. In spite of the star cast which included Amitabh Bachchan and Gulsan Grover, the movie was a disaster at the box office. More importantly, Katrina’s role in the movie was calamitous and the film posters with Katrina Kaif in a bikini along with her other co actresses spread like virus. She however looked completely at ease sporting the two piece apparel but has been extra careful in exposing her body after that. Reportedly, she is in the final stages of signing up for the latest sequel of Dhoom but the producers have asked her to don a bikini twice in the movie. Katrina who is not so sure about it is heard to be in a dilemma and according to some sources the producers have their eyes on a new comer in case Katrina opts out as the production house is reluctant to cut the two scenes off.

There are however arguments going on in several forums regarding the topic. According to her critics if the other leading ladies like Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra can be seen in swim suits in their movies i.e. Kambakht Ishq, Tashan and Don respectively, even she should accept it as a part of her profession. They have further mentioned that these days it is important to show off the hot body if you’ve got it and that Katrina Kaif should don a bikini and not fall short of a role based on these issues. Now it is to see if Katrina remains stubborn on her principles or satisfies her critics as well as her fans.
